Case Study
Client: Brain Vector
TrialKey has been collaborating with Brain Vector to develop an optimised study plan for a clinical trial evaluating a neuro device designed to treat mild to moderate depression. The TrialKey platform has been instrumental in optimising key aspects of the study plan. This includes refining enrolment numbers, determining the number of study arms, and setting the study duration. Additionally, the platform has been used to select the intervention model, blinding, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the definition of primary and secondary endpoints. Moreover, TrialKey has helped determine the optimal number of sites and touchpoints necessary for the trial’s success.
Together with subject matter experts from Brain Vector, TrialKey was able to map out the most impactful primary and secondary endpoints for the clinical trial. This collaborative effort ensured that the trial’s objectives were clearly defined, focusing on the most relevant outcomes to assess the effectiveness of the neuro device in treating mild to moderate depression.
TrialKey utilised complex AI analysis to identify the closest competitor trials, ranking them by both similarity and probability of success. Additionally, these competitor trials were mapped out by their duration and completion dates, providing valuable benchmarking data. This comprehensive analysis allowed TrialKey and Brain Vector to gain critical insights into the competitive landscape, ensuring the trial was strategically positioned for success.

“Working with TrialKey has been transformative for Brain Vector. The insights from their comprehensive report have significantly reduced costs and time while providing invaluable data that sharpened our focus on the most impactful areas. This collaboration has laid a strong foundation for our clinical trial and our broader mission to enhance mental health care.”

How we worked together
Brain Vector teamed up with TrialKey to design and optimise their VRPME™ (Virtual Reality Positive Memory Enhancement) study for mood disorders. Using TrialKey’s advanced AI algorithms, the study was simulated 20,000 times, resulting in a predicted 70% chance of success. The study design featured a single-group, open-label approach, with an optimal enrolment target of 150-200 patients and a 12-26 week trial duration.
In addition to the study design, TrialKey produced an investor report for Brain Vector, showcasing the robust design and strategies to mitigate potential risks such as patient recruitment and protocol changes. TrialKey also partnered with Brain Vector on a cobranded solus EDM campaign, targeting neurologists across Australia and New Zealand to promote both TrialKey and the VRPME™ study.
This collaboration not only refined Brain Vector’s clinical trial strategy but also enhanced its market positioning and outreach efforts. We invite you to join this innovative clinical trial, designed by TrialKey, and be part of the future of personalised mental health care.
